[Application3]
Sodiumisophthalic acid 5-sulfonate (5-ssipa) is usually used to prepare amine freewaterborne polyester resin and waterborne polyurethane for various coatings.Generally, water soluble polyester resin with high acid value is obtained byreaction, and then neutralized by amine to obtain water soluble salt. Thepolyester resin synthesized by 5-ssipa is water-borne polyester, which isattributed to the ionic properties of sodium sulfonate group of 5-ssipa. Thestructure of aromatic dicarboxylic acid is similar to that of Eastman PIA(refined isophthalic acid). The aromatic ring structure gives the coatingexcellent hardness and high gloss. The lithium ion compound similar to 5-ssipais a kind of monomer with higher polarity, which can give the resin strongerwater solubility, so the addition amount is smaller. 5-ssipa is a monomer forthe synthesis of polyester resin for food packaging adhesive, which has beenapproved by FDA. Properties: water dispersing resin without amine neutralizer.Excellent hardness and high gloss. Improve the colorability and light resistanceof polyester and nylon fibers. better printability of PET bottle ink andexcellent interlayer adhesion of magnetic tape
